Each injection well and well-field operation is unique with operational objectives determined by the number of wells, location, depth to water, injection rates, pumping requires and pressure/flow conditions. Due to these specific requirements, specific to each well, the control program and sequence are complex requirements, necessary to achieve the operational performance desired to increase and/or maintain the efficiency of the ASR well. Therefore, PLC functionality for the HPU as shown on our Valve Controls page is an available option and includes the PLC, control logic creation, software and programming, which can vary depending on the complexity of the control scheme, and the complete scope required for injection well control and owner SCADA interface required.

 In addition to our valve product offering, we also offer a full range of consulting services to provide and/or review the required control logic sequence. If PLC hardware, programming and control logic are already included by others in your project, ASR Resources, LLC can collaborate with your existing team to assist in the creation of your control logic for complete system operation. This includes assessing the proper sequence for the VSmart valve, integrating the valve sequence with above ground isolation valves, automated PRV’s, the recovery pumping sequence and the integration of your instrumentation for flow rate, well head pressure, and well water level in the well.

 We’ve worked on numerous projects where we’ve been asked during start up to assist with changes in control logic based on our experience in ASR and injection well operations.
